ABOUT US

The Forgotten Americans Network was founded by Ernest L. Moore, who grew up in Los Angeles, California, in the 1960s. Ernest Moore lived through the Watts riots in Los Angeles in the sixties and was a victim of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) chokehold and police beating. He also witnessed firsthand the 1992 riots after the Rodney King LAPD beating. He was in the crowd of protesters that coined the phrase “No Justice, No Peace” on the 101 FWY during the first night of the riots.

By about 2017, Mr. Moore saw that there were no viable organizations for Black Americans in this country. By then, all Black American communities had been wiped out by foreign gentrification. It was at this time that he decided to form The Forgotten Americans Network. It was formed to establish a viable organization for the leadership and advocacy of Black Americans in the city that has forgotten the American Negro.
